How do I choose the right pizza peel size?
We recommend choosing a peel size that matches the stone size of your pizza oven.
For example, a 12-inch pizza oven pairs best with a 12-inch peel—making loading and turning much easier.
Which pizza peel is best for use?
A perforated metal peel is ideal—it prevents dough from sticking and offers better control with a lightweight feel.
What type of pizza cutter should I use?
There are two main types of cutters:
- Rolling wheels for fast slicing,
- Rocker-style blades for large or thick pizzas (16" and above), offering smooth and even cuts.
How much wood or charcoal will I use per session?
One bag of SizzleDelite oak pellets typically supports 2–3 cooking sessions or about 4–5 hours of total burn time for a medium-sized family.
What firestarters should I use with SizzleDelite wood?
Natural wood shavings or wax-based firestarters are ideal—safe, clean, and efficient.
Avoid using kerosene- or resin-based firestarters, which can affect flavor and safety.
- Note: Firestarters are not included in the package.
How do I use SizzleDelite wood pellets?
To use SizzleDelite wood pellets with a firestarter:
- Start by placing a thin layer of wood pellets or small wood chunks at the base of your firebox.
- Insert one natural firestarter into the center of the fuel bed and ignite it.
- Gradually add more pellets or wood pieces on top, but avoid fully covering the firestarter—leave some space for airflow to help the flame catch quickly.
- Once the top layer is fully ignited and the fire is stable, begin adding fuel incrementally to maintain a strong burn.
- Insert the burning fuel tray into the pizza oven and monitor the external thermometer.
- When the temperature reaches your desired cooking range, you're ready to bake pizzas, sear steaks, or roast other foods.
What type of wood is used in SizzleDelite wood products?

It’s ultra-dry, clean-burning, and engineered for maximum heat output and efficiency. Perfectly sized for the SizzleDelite Ember 12, and ideal for both outdoor cooking and everyday home use.
